Funco Roxo

The Funcos are the traditional houses of Chã das Caldeiras. They are circular in shape and their facades are made of volcanic stone.

At EcoFunco, each room has a private bathroom with hot water.

In keeping with an eco-friendly approach, the furniture is made from pallets. Rainwater is collected to fill the well, and used water is recycled and reused for watering plants and flushing toilets.

Electricity is generated by solar panels, and water is heated by a solar water heater.

Unlimited Wi-Fi is also available for guests.

Located at the foot of the volcano, EcoFunco is the ideal place to explore Chã das Caldeiras and the starting point for hikes (climbing the volcano, via ferrata, descending to Mosteiros, trekking in the Bordeira).
